i didn't know karl but my dad was a friend of the family. i'm so sorry for your loss. and i fully agree that the speed should be lowered as i have seen eratic driving all around skem.

ive just came across this site now im lookin 4 a driving instructor n its so sad even as time goes by this shud not of happened the heartbreak n hurt this family has gone throu n still managin to try to make r roads safer but nothin has yet to 2 happen wat will it take another child if it had happenned to some1 who cud make a difference in these higher place u bet ur bottom dollar it wud of been done by now.
my 1st child my son is 8 1/2 months old n i only live in bearncroft n the thought of havin to try 2 get through somethink like that use deserve a medal karl will be so proud n me thoughts go out to u all in wat is n prob will always be hard n upsettin times!

I am so sorry for the loss of your son. I just lost my husband a month ago in a motorcycle accident also.
I have come closer to the lord since his death.
I also may have problems with my insurance co.

Words can not express how you must feel my heart goes out to you and all your family.Such a tragedy was waiting to happen,but it shouldnt have.I walk along digmoor road every friday and have done for years and the speed some of them cars do is really bad.Hopefully something will be done soon to stop another tragedy happening. As a mother in skelmersdale i find it so sad for your lovley young son and your family only today i heard of another possible death on ormskirk road upholland i hope this other little boy is ok and your little one is safe with the angels looking down on you all god bless

We need to do much more to make our streets for children. Sadly, West Lancashire has the worst road safety record in Lancashire.
I hope that those in authority take action so that other parents do not have to grieve and mourn as you do.
